2gether The Series Episode 10: Sanity Breaker
The idea of love sometimes possesses us to become a total different person.
It is undeniable, 2gether The Series had already caught more than our interest and attention—it caught our weakest point in love.
It make us devoted to a fictional narrative that depicts an almost perfect situation of love we always wanted to happen in our life. And yes, the main characters of the series, Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree (Sarawat) and Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn (Tine) together with the whole cast, deliver such treat that drives most of us insane every Friday evening.
The series had its way of capturing our hearts and with only three episodes left, it is no wonder we are asking for more. From the first episode where we started to follow their story up to the succeeding ones that build a seemingly perfect match, we all know how each of those episodes—or at least a moment from it—made us a totally different person while watching it.
Trust me, everyone can relate on how you feel:
- The swooning over sweet and cheeky lines.
- The craving for that cute public display of affection.
- The screaming even though there is no voice coming out because you are afraid to wake everyone else.
- The biting of pillow or whatever thing you are handling.
- There are also unconscious punches and slaps everywhere that if someone was near you, they are probably hurt or injured already.
- Our innocent gadgets we used for watching—being thrown all over the place.
- The random utterance of “SANAOL” both in social media and in real life.
- And even the sensuals like lipbites, drooling over the so attractive and hot Sarawat and Tine, and of course don’t deny it, the fantasy of what are behind their shirts and shorts.
Most of us are all completely head over heels, and — not even sorry—naughty for this series.
But of all the aired episodes, I believe that the most recent one, Episode 10, is the ultimate episode that produced our most unruly behaviour you can possibly act, and it played our emotions like a roller coaster ride.
The episode is just top notch, encompassing nearly all nature of emotions. It even felt like some of us may have lost their senses while watching it.
You see, it was started by a downhearted Tine. Win delivered an impeccable display of acting skills that his emotion radiates on us viewers. We can’t help but feel sad for Tine, that after he gave his best to practice for the event, he still failed to deliver a wonderful performance.
Then it was followed by the moment we have all been waiting for for nine episodes; Tine has officially become Sarawat’s boyfriend. The transition from being sad to ‘kilig’ is just unexplainable. One moment you are like pitying Tine and then suddenly you find yourself smiling so wide—but still in tears, okay? — accompanied by few slaps on the nearest thing beside you.
After that, they moved to live in an apartment together. Those scenarios of romantic teasing is just wholesome. They just killed the norm that these kinds of intimacy are just perfect for heterosexual couples, but they just lashed it out and unnapollegetically acted it like it was completely normal. And guess what, all throughout that runtime, we found ourselves giggling to that display of cuteness.
Did your eyes also sparkle to those stolen kisses of Sarawat to Tine? I mean just look at those gorgeous Bright’s lips pressing on Win’s bunny cheeks! Already enough to trigger a kick.
I bet you laugh to that bouquet of condoms that Sarawat’s friends gave them for being “newly wedded” couples. You can clearly see the embarrassment on those lovebirds and you like it very much.
How about the rushing feelings of being a hopeless romantic on the scene where Sarawat gave Tine a gift made from the pick where Tine cut it into two pieces? Talking about small details and the thoughtfulness. Now, we are looking forward to give/receive a couple bracelet from someone. Who cares about capitalism, where can I buy those kind of bracelets?!
You can’t deny the intense 'kilig' moment on that sulky Sarawat after Tine explained to his brother that he is just only a “friend”. Some of you probably can’t handle the sight of Sarawat on boxers but how about that scene where he pulled Tine to embrace him? Did you close your eyes using your hand with a small gap to see it? Or you openly watch it with all kind of voices trying to escape from your mouth and scream your lungs out but you just can’t. And to think that Tine being too close to Sarawat most likely had an initial feel of Sarawat’s expo before they go lovey dovey. I guess that was just too much to handle.
Lets talk about Tine’s brother. Did you feel sorry for Sarawat after he distanced Tine from him? Talk about obstacles in your relationship. Just when you thought you could be all romantic and intimate and then there is your overprotective brother. You probably feel annoyed of him but at the same time you try to understand because he is family. Now, keep it low, stop gritting your teeth or biting your pillows out of being irritated.
Most of us probably lose our heads on that couch scene. Sarawat insisting Tine to sleep beside him because he cannot sleep without his little buffalo by his side. Who could possibly endure that cute intimate cuddling moment? That was a literal 'SANAOL’. Most of the people watching probably grab their gadgets and post something like “I want what they have” on social media platforms.
How about when Sarawat tried to make Tine jealous? It is just really adorable to see a jealous Tine. His annoyed expression is a sight to behold. You just can’t resist that bunny cheeks and melancholic eyes. We saw how he was easily effected with Sarawat’s actions and it was all over his face. Also, the moment how Tine stood up for Sarawat and bravely told his brother that he is his boyfriend is just phenomenal. For us viewers, it is a moment of realization that we wanted something like this to come along in our life. The thought of our jealous lovers over something trivial then we come wooing our boos is just lovely in some ways and it is irresistible. Also, seeing our lovers fighting for your relationship will surely put those butterflies on our stomachs.
Of course on this episode, we also experience tragic feelings. Like what Phukong felt when Mil told him that he liked him as a brother. That was a straight rejection and it was just too much for him. Our dear Phukong—Sarawat’s little brother—deserves all our heartfelt support and sympathy.
I know there are other parts of the episode you probably think a good one and it somehow made you feel special, but this shortlist of scenes from episode 10 are surely some of those parts that made us go crazy.
Love is such a beautiful thing. And even those kind of almost perfect love that we see on fictional stories is just the same as those in real life. We just have to find that person who can see and make every situation, be it ups and downs, as an almost perfect love.
We are all optimistic. The world is gradually changing, and one day when empathy becomes a strong ground of virtue for everyone, Sarawat and Tine stories will no longer be stigmatized as something not normal nor people would just tolerate their existence just to avoid conflict but instead accept their well-being wholeheartedly without prejudice.
We should learn that we don’t really have to like the people in the LGBTQ+ community very much, we just have to keep our hearts open for them.
But, of course we should agree that Episode 10 is bomb as hell in terms of emotional gauge. We really felt that lovely colours of the rainbow and it surely breaks our sane self for quite a moment.
